Little Gia Zavala Damon has two big sisters waiting for her at home - two-year-old Isabella and Alexa, Barrosos 10-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. Damons spokeswoman reports the new arrival is "a healthy, beautiful baby girl." Ironically, little Gia was born on the same day that Jennifer Garner, the wife of Damons best friend Ben Affleck, confirmed shes pregnant with the couples second child.

FanBolt writes: LORD OF THE RINGS filmmakers PETER JACKSON and GUILLERMO DEL TORO have called off their search for a writer to pen franchise prequel THE HOBBIT - after deciding they are best suited for the task. The Hobbit director del Toro and Jackson, who directed the first three original films, had previously launched a global search for a scribe to adapt J.R.R. Tolkiens classic to the big screen. But after eight months, the pair has announced their plans to tackle the movie and its follow-up themselves.

The Anchorman star insists it was the doctor-ordered MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan that helped her to beat the illness, following her diagnosis last month (Jul08). And the actress has responded by launching her own initiative to raise funds in an effort to help women at risk of contracting breast cancer.

The Sk8er Boi singer was set to play a show in the countrys capital Kuala Lumpur on 29 August (08), kicking off a month-long tour of Asia. But the Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry has decided not to permit Lavignes show, claiming its content is unsuitable to Malaysian culture on the eve of the countrys Independence Day on 31 August (08).

Film bosses had initially pushed the release date back to February next year (09) after shooting overran. The Dark Knight has become only the 19th film in history to cross the $800 million (GBP400 million) mark in combined U.S. and global box office ticket sales.
