The 20-year-old star was spotted leaving Hollywoods Il Sole restaurant with National Hockey League (NHL) star Comrie on Friday night (15Aug08) when she flashed her left hand to reveal a ring. And the shot has sent gossips into a spin - leading many to speculate over whether Duff and Comrie are engaged.

The acting trio agreed to play versions of Ledgers character Tim in The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus following his death in January (08). And they decided to donate their fees to two-year-old Matilda - Ledgers daughter with actress Michelle Williams - because the star left an old will which did not include the little girl.

Film bosses had initially pushed the release date back to February next year (09) after shooting overran. But the movie, which also stars Kenneth Branagh, Terence Stamp, and comedian Eddie Izzard, has now been brought forward for American audiences after wowing viewers at test screenings.

FanBolt writes: The new BATMAN movie is back at the top of the global box office after scoring another big weekend take outside the U.S. The Dark Knights healthy $42.4 million (GBP21.2 million) was enough to topple another sequel, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which dropped from first, despite raking in $32.6 million (GBP16.3 million) in 56 markets. The Dark Knight has become only the 19th film in history to cross the $800 million (GBP400 million) mark in combined U.S. and global box office ticket sales.

The trios A Little Bit Longer release hit record store shelves on Tuesday (12Aug08) and enjoyed a great first-day of business. Chart experts predict the album could debut at the top of next weeks (20Aug08) chart with more than 600,000 sales. The siblings are expected to challenge Coldplay for the biggest-ever sales week for a digital album title - the British rockers Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends sold 288,000 downloads in its first week on sale earlier this year (08). And Billboard reports the Jonas Brothers may pull off another chart feat next week if their self-titled album, which currently sits at number 11, falls back into the top 10.
