Current Registration Issue

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

We would like to report a small issue.

Yesterday, we did network wide upgrades. With these upgrades, a small number of users have reported trouble registering for membership. The common issue described is that they are brought back to the registration page after they fill in all the required registration fields. On the page they are brought to, there is an error message that reads, “Please choose state.”

We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. So far, we are able to duplicate the issue by using Internet Explorer version 7 and Windows XP. If you are using Internet Explorer version 7 and happen to have Firefox installed on your computer, please try using that. Also, we haven’t had any issues while using Internet Explorer version 8.

We appreciate your patience while we work on this.

UPDATE: 7/22/09

We have isolated this issue to only those users trying to register at our website using Internet Explorer version 7. We have discovered the problem and have a fix in place, unfortunately, this fix must roll out with our next scheduled upgrade. The upgrade is planned to be implemented in the next few weeks.

What can you do in the meantime?

If you are having issues registering and would still like to get on board with our website (which we sure would appreciate), you can simply upgrade Internet Explorer to version 8 or just download Firefox. Both browsers aren’t having any issues with our websites and work wonderfully.

Here are some links for those websites:

- Download Firefox
- Upgrade Internet Explorer

Now remember, we aren’t endorsing either of these products listed above. We are just stating that both of these products work well with our websites and are used by millions of people worldwide.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

UPDATE: 7/27/09

We have begun upgrading our websites to fix the registration issue. So far, we have upgraded PetLeeg.com, WebLeeg.com, CycleLeeg.com, AutoLeeg.com and BoatLeeg.com and the issue seems to have been cleared up. Please let us know if you still can not register properly. REMEMBER – please hit “F5″ on your keyboard to do a full page refresh. If you don’t so this, your browser may be still loading the old version of the registration page.

With this upgrade came a few small bugs that are unrelated to this current issue. We will be spending the remainder of the day eliminating them.

Thank you.

Blocked Email and Trouble Logging In

Friday, June 19th, 2009

The internet changes every day and we do our best to keep up. One thing that is always on the move is security.

We have seen numerous returned email messages in our que…mostly announcements from our websites. Usually, we will email you to thank you for signing up or when your ad is about to expire. Lately, many AOL, Comcast and some other ISPs have not been getting them.

We have been digging for the reason for the past few days. Well, we think we found it. Apparently, AOL and the others think we are sending out too much email. Hey, we can’t help it if we’re popular. Yesterday, we contacted AOL and requested that they unblock us from their “do not mail” list and they may have today. We have already received one report that one of our members is now receiving mail from us while using AOL. That’s good news. We will continue to work with the remaining ISPs to get this issue resolved.

Have you been having trouble logging in? Well, it could be your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer or AOL to sign in to our websites and are having trouble, give Firefox a try. We recently heard of success with that.
